Health & Wellbeing at the Vipers
Health, Wellbeing & Member Support
At the Ellenbrook Vipers Rugby Union Club, we believe rugby is about more than just what happens on the field. We are committed to creating a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where players, families, volunteers and supporters feel connected, respected and valued — both physically and mentally.
As a proud Good Sports club, we promote healthy lifestyles, positive behaviours and strong community values. This includes encouraging respectful sideline behaviour, supporting mental health awareness, promoting healthy choices around alcohol and smoking, and helping our players build resilience both on and off the field.
Our commitment to creating a positive club culture has also been recognised through our participation in the Respectful Relationships Program, delivered by the City of Swan in partnership with Zonta House Refuge Association. Members of our club have completed the Respectful Relationships Workshop, and we are proud to be recognised as a Respectful Relationships Club.
Our Commitments
🛡️ Child Safe Club
The safety and wellbeing of children and young people is our highest priority. We are committed to creating an environment where every child feels safe, heard and respected.
💚 Good Sports Accredited

🤝 Respectful Relationships Club
Recognised through the City of Swan and Zonta House Refuge Association, we are committed to fostering respect, equality, inclusion and positive relationships throughout our club and community.
🌈 Inclusive & Welcoming Community
We believe rugby is for everyone. Regardless of age, ability, background or experience, everyone deserves to feel welcome, valued and included.
❤️ Mental Health & Wellbeing
We encourage open conversations about mental health, build resilience through sport and help connect our members with trusted support services when they need them.
Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO)
As part of our commitment to providing a safe, respectful and inclusive club environment, Kylie Livingstone proudly serves as the Ellenbrook Vipers Rugby Union Club's Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO).
An MPIO is a confidential first point of contact for anyone within our club who has concerns about member welfare, inappropriate behaviour, discrimination, bullying, harassment, child safety or other issues affecting the wellbeing of our members.
Kylie can:
-
Provide a safe and confidential space to discuss concerns.
-
Explain the club's policies and available options.
-
Help members understand the complaint and reporting process.
-
Provide information about support services and referrals where appropriate.
-
Promote a positive, respectful and inclusive club culture.
While an MPIO does not investigate or determine the outcome of complaints, they are available to listen, provide guidance and help members access the appropriate support and pathways.
If you have any concerns or simply need someone to talk to about an issue within our club, please don't hesitate to reach out.
